Vanguard Properties is currently developing a 215 unit modern neighborhood on a 4.9 acre waterfront in upscale Scottsdale. Concrete Structures worked with PERI to shore a large 70,000 ft² (6,500 m²) main level deck that will later support the steel structure of the numerous overlying residential and commercial buildings.
Construction joints required shoring layouts in excess of 16,000 ft² (1,485 m²) and the first pour alone required over 750 yd³ (573 m³) of concrete. The graded beams were 53" (1.30 m) deep and 2 ft (61 cm) wide and were poured concurrently with the 12" (30 cm) deck.
