Array of PERI Products Keep up With Aggressive Construction Schedule
The 52 floor Eighth Avenue Place project will offer more needed office and retail space in downtown Calgary.
To keep up with the aggressive construction schedule, an array of PERI products are used. For the 120‘ x 33‘- 6“ (36.50 m x 10.20 m) core that will house 20 elevators the ACS R and P along with VARIO panels offer the quickest construction cycle. The VARIO wall formwork is constructed with 4“ (10 cm) of rigid insulation and protective sheeting allowing concrete to be poured at extreme low temperatures. In order to accommodate the congestion of the rebar and massive heavy embed plates, the VARIO system with specialized taper ties adjust to the required positions quickly.
A combination of SKYDECK and MULTIFLEX are used for the parking garage and main floor slabs. Two RCS/PERI UP stair towers allow safe access between the construction of structural steel and ACS climbing system.
