The variable VARIO girder wall formwork, together with SKS climbing scaffold, formed large area transportable units.
The 330 m long Naga Hammadi Nile river barrage consists of a power station, weir facilities and two navigation locks.
The variable VARIO girder wall formwork, together with SKS climbing scaffold, formed large area transportable units. The intermediate piers of the weir facility were cost-effectively climbed using concreting cycle heights of up to 3.60 m.
With concreting cycle heights of up to 3,60 m, the intermediate columns of the weir facility could be economically climbed.
Project Information
The good experience we have had with the proven PERI systems in previous projects made us decide to again cooperate with PERI in this Naga Hammadi barrage project. All shuttering, reinforcement and pouring activities could be carried out from safe working platforms. This helped to achieve faster cycle sequences. Despite the given very short construction time we were able to reach a high quality standard.
