The Project
Impressions from the project process
The LGS Weather Protection Roof on the basis of the PERI UP Scaffolding System made the roof renovation independent of the weather. The 90 m long protection roof consisted of 3 m wide and nearly 30 m long LGS segments.
The almost 30 m long lattice girder segments could be manually pre-assembled on the ground, and then lifted with the mobile crane. This resulted in a rapid and safe contruction progress.
The bedding of the lattice girder system elements was carried out on the south side on a PERI UP Scaffold that also served as access and protection framework.
The combination with the VARIOKIT Engineering Construction Kit accelerated the execution economically: system components were the support on the north side, thus the loads from the protective roof construction had reliably born into load-bearing sections within the concrete wall with about 7.50 m between axes.
The ridge clasp allows for easy fixation of the roof slope and during lifting the LGS segments. The connection work takes place largely without tools by bolts and spring connectors.

The LGS installation using ridge clasp and roles is absolutely convincing. In addition, PERI engineers demonstrated speed in their planning skills - size, planning, statics and assembly had to be adhered to a tight schedule.
